Staff
The six foot, red oak staff is at the core of White Cloud weapons training and proficiency in this must be attained before several of the other weapons can be attempted.
The White Cloud student is introduced to the staff early, as the form which is taught originates from the Shaolin style is fast paced and energetic so lends itself well to the Long Boxing art which the lower ranked student will likely be studying at the time.
Staff Short Form
This quick seven move form is designed to get the students used to handling a staff and being able to change their grip whilst the staff is in continuous motion.

The full White Cloud staff form concentrates on the blocks and strikes that are needed for sparring and emphasises using the whole length of this six foot weapon.
